Best of 2014 / Fashion

First up, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Can you believe 2014 is over? I can't! They say the years fly past as you get older, and it's so true. I'll turn 28 in 2015 and I just don't know where the years have gone.

As I started this as a fashion blog, and fashion is my favourite thing in the world, I thought I'd share my favourite outfits from the year today. I much prefer the outfits that have been photographed outside, so for 2015 I want to photograph all of my outfits outside, it just looks so much better.

Best of 2014 / Skincare

Cleanser: L'oreal Revitalift Radiant Smoothing Cream Cleanser > Normally cleansers that foam up with water are designed for oily skin, and therefore tend to leave your skin feeling fry. Not this one. It is designed as an anti-ageing product, therefore it is moisturising. I couldn't actually find this in Boots or Superdrug in the UK, I bought it while in New York last year so I don't actually think it is available over her, which is a shame. I'm nearly out of it so I'll be trying to find it online somewhere.

Monday Wishlist #46

1. Topshop Sleeveless Jacket: This jacket is made from a thick jersey fabric, which gives it a more casual, sporty look. I would always wear this over something with sleeves, as I like the layered look. A white floaty jersey top, black skinny jeans and black heeled ankle boots would look great with this jacket.

Best of 2014 / Make-up

On Tuesday I shared with you my favourite haircare of 2014. Today it's time for make-up!

Foundation: L'Oreal Infallible 24H Foundation > I didn't realise how much I loved this foundation until very recently. It isn't matte, but it doesn't leave my skin feeling oily, either. It lasts well and doesn't oxidise, which is a problem for me with my super oily skin. The colour is a great match, too. For nights out I tend to mix in a small amount of a slightly darker colour foundation.

Best of 2014 / Haircare

It's that time where we reflect back on the year and choose our favourite products. I've decided to a mini series, and today I'm starting off with haircare...

Monday Wishlist #45

1. River Island Black & White Floral Shirt Dress: This is the kind of shirt dress that will stay in your wardrobe forever. It's a classic shape, and the monochrome print means you can wear it whatever the season. I think it would look great with a pair of sheer black tights and some over the knee boots.

2. Topshop Salt & Pepper Knitted Top: Knitted tees are so flattering, they hang much nicer than cotton t shirts. Tuck the front into a pair of black straight leg jeans and wear with a pair of Nike Free Runs and you've got a great casual outfit.

3. Topshop HARLEM Wedge Boots: Wedges are more comfortable than heels. Fact. These black ankle boots may look high, but they'll be super easy to walk in. Plus, they'll look great with just about anything.

4. River Island Black Lace Sleeve Floral Swing Dress: Can you tell I'm into winter florals this week? The lace sleeves make this dress more feminine, and the swing shape means it would be a perfect Christmas Day dress. Eat as much as you like and no one will tell!

Thursday Thoughts // My Favourite YouTubers

Today I thought I'd share with you my five favourite YouTubers. I've been watching YouTube for years and years now. Now that I have a busier lifestyle I don't have as much time to watch all of the videos that pop up in my subscription box. Here are the YouTubers that I make time for...

I wanted to share with you my new winter nail polish pick, Middle Child.

Monday Wishlist #44

1. River Island Beige Ribbed Cowl Neck Top: Neutral colours are great for creating chic outfits that won't go out of fashion. Roll necks and cowl necks are a huge trend right now, but if you stick to beige, grey and black, you'll be able to wear them over and over.

2. River Island Grey Leather-look A line Skirt:  Faux leather skirts can easily be dressed up or down. Layer a grey jumper with the skirt, opaque tights and a pair of black boots for a day time look. For a night out how about a black cami tucked in and a pair of black pointed heels.

3. Topshop Salt and Pepper Jersey Maxi Dress: This maxi dress is another great piece that could be worn casually or for a night out. I would wear a leather jacket over and a pair of ankle boots with a chunky heel.

4. River Island Dark Red Leather Pony Skin Boots: The texture of these boots makes them special. Leather at the front and pony skin at the back. They are also a beautiful burgundy colour. I don't need to tell you how to wear ankle boots, you can wear them with just about anything!

Top 3 Winter Scents

Now that the weather has changed, and we're certainly into winter rather than autumn, the scents I wear have also changed.

10 Things I Hate About You

10 Things I Hate About You is one of my favourite films, ever. When I saw this tshirt in River Island I had to have it.

I like to dress up t shirts rather than wearing them with jeans, so I layered up with a faux leather skirt and my silver blazer.

My Essential Winter Accessories

I'm pretty sure I wrote about my winter essentials last year, too. In the past few days it has turned super cold in the North East of England, and my hat and scarf have been part of my outfits everyday.

My scarf is from a brand called Johnsons of Elgin. It is made from 100% lambswool, which makes it super soft! I love that this tartan has red, green and cream in the print, meaning it goes with almost any winter outfit.

I like to keep my hat more simple. A knitted beanie with a pom pom is the style I like to go for. The creamy beige colour of this one matches perfectly with my scarf.

So there you have it, my two essential winter accessories which I'm sure I'll be wearing for years to come!

What are your winter essentials?

Monday Wishlist #43

1. Topshop Stripe Ribbed Tunic: I love me a stripe, and I'm loving ribbed fabrics at the moment, too. I'd wear this dress with leggings and boots, or with a pair of trainers. And when the summer comes around again this dress will look perfect with a pair of sandals.

2. Topshop Barbie and Ken Pyjamas: I was obsessed with Barbie when I was little, so I always love anything with a Barbie print on it. I'd probably wear this, since it's a pyjama set, more than I'd wear an actual Barbie print tee!

3. New Look Extreme Heel Chelsea Boots: I have a similar pair of boots to these, but they're plain leather and have a lower heel. We all know I have a weakness for black ankle boots. I've seen these in person at work and they are beautiful. I really need them in my life.

4. New Look Khaki Wrap Front Blouse: Khaki is a colour I always love at this time of year. It's a good neutral that you can wear with other earthy tones, as well as black. This blouse, a pair of black skinny jeans and ankle boots, and you've got a great throw on outfit.

Your Christmas Party Outfit Sorted with #Regram Runway / LOOK FOUR

Today is the fourth and final instalment of this mini series! You can see the other three looks here, here and here

Today's outfit is a little more casual than the others. I'd wear this if I was going out for a Christmas meal with my family, or even on Christmas Day. Wearing tights and heeled ankle boots with a party dress gives that relaxed edge.

Your Christmas Party Outfit Sorted with #Regram Runway / LOOK THREE

A Christmas Party is the perfect time to wear something sparkly, right? I'm in love with this copper sequin dress/ The vneck is really flattering, and it fits really nicely. With a statement dress like this, I like to keep the rest of my outfit simple. Black heels, black bag and a red lip. Very festive, don't you think?

If you love this dress as much as I do, and can't get over to #Regram Runway yourself, call the girls and they'll happily send it out to you!

Monday Wishlist #42

1. River Island Bandeau Sheer Lace Dress: River Island do this dress is so many different colours, prints and fabrics. My friend has it in a gorgeous reddy orange colour, and it's amazing on! It's just so flattering. I love how the skirt is actually sheer, but with built in knickers. I'm on the hunt for a dress to wear when I go out on Boxing Day, this may be the one.

2. Topshop Geo Print Notch Overlay Dress: I really like these overlay dress, I have a slightly different style one from Topshop and it is so flattering. I'm also really into this beautiful forest green colour right now. I'd wear this with sheer black tights and over the knee boots.

3. Office Coven Side Zip Boots: We all know how much I love black ankle boots, they're a staple in my wardrobe. I really like that these are suede, it makes them a little smarter.

4. Topshop Folk Mirror Tee: I've never really been a jeans and tshirt kind of girl, but for some reason I can't get enough of slogan tees at the minute. I know this isn't a slogan tee, but the embellishment means it's anything but plain. This would look great with a pair of washed black jeans for a casual look, and equally as good with a leather look pencil skirt.
