Avril | Organic Make-Up

You more than likely hadn't heard the brand Avril before clicking on the post, neither had until I was contacted by the brand. I was offered the chance to try any three products from the website, and of course, the makeup is what caught my attention.

Avril's mission is to make organic cosmetics affordable for every woman. And affordable they are! With lip products between 3-6 euros and skincare all under 10 euros, you can switch to organic products without breaking the bank.

Lazy Girl's Lunch | Dolmio Stir-In Sauce

At the moment I'm working in the evenings, which means I am in the house alone during the day. Whenever it comes to lunch time, I want something that is simple to make and doesn't take very long to prepare but still tastes good. I've been using the Dolmio Stir-In Sauce for many years, but recently I've been using it to make a tasty lunch. Perfect for a lazy cook like me.

Have to Love | Gosforth

I love discovering new places to shop. I love the high street - New Look is definitely my favourite - but it can get a bit samey sometimes. When I was invited along to the HaveToLove store in Gosforth, Newcastle for Blogger party, I couldn't wait!

A New Found Love For Skirts

I've found a new love for skirts. I'm not sure where it has come from. I've always been more of a dress kinda gal rather skirts. I always found them a little more difficult to style, a little less flattering, and let's face it - throwing on a dress is much quicker than thinking about what top you're going to pair with your skirt. Maybe I've just been lazy?

Pixie Lott Metallic Paint Hair Colour

If you've been following my blog from the beginning, you'll probably know that I like to experiment with my hair. Now that I've qualified as a teacher, I have to keep to sensible hair colours. I still get the urge to change up my hair, so when I was browsing Superdrug and noticed the Pixie Lott Paint Metallics Wash Out Colour in Slate Grey, I had to give it a go.

A Moisturising AND Mattifying Primer?! The Ordinary

I don't often reach for make-up primers. I find they either make my skin feel oily or dry and don't do a lot for filling in my pores or keeping my make-up in place. Primers just don't excite me, to be honest. I'm not sure why I decided to try The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer, but I did.

IKEA POÄNG Chair DIY & Other Hacks

About three months ago, myself and Matt moved into a gorgeous apartment. It's both of ours' first proper flat - no student digs or house sharing - therefore we've both been super into making the flat our home. Many Ikea trips, lots of house plants, and some DIY later, we're getting there! I thought I'd share how I updated this corner of our living room. It was looking a little bland, and I wanted to add in the dark blue/navy shade that is our accent colour.

PizzaStorm Summer Party

Last week I was invited along to PizzaStorm Summer Party in Eldon Square, Newcastle. I'm not the biggest pizza fan, but myself and Alice decided to pop along and join in the party.

Funday | A Bit of a Red Obsession?

As I mentioned in my Slogan Tee post, I can't get enough of red right now. I may have just had a delivery of a gorgeous red Fila tee. Oops. I first saw this New Look jumper on Kate La Vie. I fell in love with the colour and the statement font. It's such a versatile piece, too. I wore it to an event a couple of weeks ago with skinny jeans and black loafers, a great throw-on outfit.

The Purple Bear | Newcastle

A couple of weeks ago I was in Newcastle city centre doing a spot of shopping and decided to go for lunch. My Mam spotted The Purple Bear sign which was advertising a £5 lunch deal served until 5pm, so we decided to give it a go. The Purple Bear is situated on Prudhoe Chare - just off Northumberland Street, next to the entrance of Eldon Square.
