Beating The January Blues Via Manchester Airport

I don't know about you, but I'm so sick of the miserable weather, gloomy days and the fact that it's dark when I leave for work and dark when I get home. I feel so uninspired and lethargic. To cheer myself up I've been dreaming of warmer climates and searching the Holiday Gems website for Manchester airport holiday deals. My local airport is Newcastle, but there is a much bigger choice of destinations from Manchester and generally, I've found that the price of flights is quite a lot lower, too.

My cousin is getting married in Florida in the summer, and we're spending a few nights in Miami before heading to Orlando. There is a good selection of flights from Manchester, and a huge selection of hotels to choose from, too. The Pestana South Beach Hotel looks absolutely amazing. It's only five minutes away from South Beach, and 10 minutes from Lincoln Roan - an open-air shopping centre. Just look at the photos of the hotel. Dreamy or what!?

Barcelona has been on my bucket list for years, but hopefully, this will be the year that I eventually tick it off. The Kiwidestiny Apartments are in a great location for exploring the city, and they look fab, too. Each apartment is inspired by a tropical fruit, but certainly not in a tacky way. From the flights that I have searched, it's about 50% less to fly from Manchester than it is to fly from Newcastle, and I could always add a night or two in the centre of Manchester onto my trip as I've never visited.

Have you flown from Manchester airport before? Where did you go? I really want to book a holiday right now...

  1. We've flew from Manchester twice last year (Florida and Cuba), it's super easy to get to from Newcastle by train (or car - we prefer train though). I am dying to book another holiday soon!

    1. I’m going to try to get a holiday (even just a few days) booked soon, I need some sun!! Barcelona from Manchester is top of my list right now though :) x
