Valentine's Day Make-Up with Ardell Wispies

I'm going to be honest with you, I don't celebrate Valentine's Day. It's my boyfriend's birthday the same day so we celebrate that instead. That doesn't mean I don't like everything that comes along with Valentine's - lots of roses everywhere, pink and red, and romantic make-up tutorials in my YouTube subscription box. I was playing around with my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette and thought that the outcome was perfect for a Valentine's look, so I pulled out my camera so that I could share it with you.

I used the shade 'Strange' all over my eye for a base, concentrating more of the lid, and then started blending 'Limit' into the crease for a transition shade to help the darker colours I was going to apply blend out perfectly. I then used a mix of 'Nooner' and a small amount of 'Factory' until I was happy with the deepness of the shades in my crease. I kept going back into 'Limit' to help the shades blend out. Once I was happy with the definition I applied 'Buzz' to my lid using a damp brush so that it was even more sparkly than it looked in the pan. I finished my eye look with a slick of eyeliner and a pair of the Ardell Wispies*. I very rarely wear eyelashes, and I was so surprised by how easily these applied. they just seemed to fit the shape of my eye perfectly without looking too dramatic. I think I've found my new favourite falsies!

As my eye makeup had a pink-hue to it I decided to wear the Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in 15 Lover. It is a gorgeous neutral pink which just looks perfect with this make-up. I'll be wearing this whole look again soon for sure.

Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? How? Does your makeup reflect that day?

* I was sent the Ardell Wispies to test, but all opinions are my own.
